According to available information, commuters presenting local identification at the Phoolnagar Toll Plaza are allowed to pass without charges, while residents of Pattoki are required to pay the full toll despite being part of the same regional area.
Local stakeholders note that differing financial requirements for movement across transport points within a single administrative boundary raise important questions regarding procedural consistency, equitable treatment, and institutional transparency. The situation is also viewed as having potential implications for daily mobility, commercial activity, and regional connectivity.
Representatives from the Pattoki Press Club and members of the local community have emphasized the public interest dimension of the issue, urging relevant authorities to review existing arrangements and introduce a standardized and transparent mechanism. They stress that uniform facilitation is essential to ensure balanced access for residents and to maintain confidence in civic infrastructure management.
Urban and infrastructure analysts highlight that equitable transport access plays a critical role in supporting local economic continuity, facilitating population movement, and strengthening the functional integration of surrounding settlements.

The auction featured two prime assets: the landmark CBD Arena plot in CBD Quaid District and a premium residential plot in NSIT City Residencia-2, CBD NSIT City. The CBD Arena plot, measuring 10 kanals, had a reserve price of PKR 50 million per kanal. Following competitive bidding, the plot was awarded to Playdium at PKR 70.07 million per kanal, resulting in a total transaction value of approximately PKR 700.7 million.
In parallel, the 4.9 kanal NSIT City Residencia-2 plot was successfully acquired by Shoaib Shafiq, at a final price of PKR 590.45 million, underscoring the growing demand for high-quality residential developments within CBD NSIT City.
The auction drew over 50 bids, reflecting strong participation from national investors and signaling continued market confidence in CBD Punjab’s strategic urban development model. The robust competition and premium price realization further demonstrate the increasing value and credibility of CBD Punjab’s portfolio.
