Alif Holdings is set to host a first of its kind Real Estate CEOs Conference and live podcast discussion on June 26, 2026, bringing together policymakers, real estate developers, investors, business leaders and key industry stakeholders for an open conversation on the future of Pakistan’s property sector.
The event will feature Punjab Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Bilal Yaseen as the keynote guest, while renowned journalist Mansoor Ali Khan will host and moderate the discussion.
According to the organisers, the conference aims to create a direct platform where government representatives and real estate stakeholders can discuss policy challenges, investment concerns, infrastructure planning and the future direction of the housing and construction sectors.
The discussion is expected to cover major issues including housing policy, urban development, investor confidence, regulatory reforms, infrastructure needs, approval processes and the role of the private sector in addressing Pakistan’s growing housing demand.
The initiative is being described as significant because it marks one of the rare occasions where a serving provincial housing minister will participate in a live, industry focused podcast and conference alongside real estate CEOs and stakeholders.
Alif Holdings CEO Ahmed Saljouk said the initiative reflects the company’s commitment to encouraging meaningful dialogue beyond commercial interests. He said real estate is one of Pakistan’s most important economic sectors and stronger communication between policymakers and industry representatives can support long term sectoral growth.
Industry observers believe such discussions are important at a time when Pakistan’s real estate sector is facing multiple challenges, including regulatory uncertainty, rising construction costs, investor caution, urban planning pressures and the need for affordable housing solutions.
The June 22 conference is expected to attract developers, investors, business leaders, consultants and professionals seeking clarity on the future policy direction of Pakistan’s real estate market.

The Punjab Revenue Authority has intensified action against tax defaulters and businesses violating tax laws across the province. The authority’s enforcement teams sealed the offices of 15 housing developers during a large scale operation in different divisions.
According to a spokesperson for the Punjab Revenue Authority, the operations were carried out in Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Sargodha and Multan divisions, where action was taken against various business establishments over violations of tax laws, irregularities in sales records and discrepancies in tax payments.
During the operations, several marquees and marriage halls were also sealed, while the sales records of a number of restaurants were taken into custody. The spokesperson said that discrepancies were found between sales records and deposited taxes during the scrutiny, after which the records of the relevant establishments were seized for further investigation.
The Punjab Revenue Authority has also issued notices to 25 business entities over tax irregularities. Officials said the notices were aimed at seeking explanations regarding tax records, payments and business transactions so that further action could be taken in accordance with the law.
The PRA chairman said that indiscriminate action would continue to ensure implementation of tax laws. He made it clear that repeat violators would face strict measures, including fines, sealing of business premises and legal notices.
According to the authority, the province wide campaign to strengthen the tax net, prevent revenue leakage and take action against businesses involved in tax evasion will continue.

On the instructions of LDA Director General Tahir Farooq, the Town Planning Wing of the Lahore Development Authority has intensified action against illegal commercial buildings and commercial fee defaulters.
LDA teams carried out operations in various controlled areas of Lahore and sealed a total of 140 properties. The actions were taken in Gulberg, Model Town Extension, Jubilee Town, Canal Road, Samanabad, Gulshan Ravi, Mustafa Town and Azam Garden.
According to the LDA, 28 properties were sealed in Gulberg and Model Town Extension, while 19 properties were sealed in Jubilee Town over illegal commercial use. Similarly, 70 properties were sealed on Canal Road, in Samanabad and Gulshan Ravi over illegal commercial use and non-payment of commercial fees.
During the recovery operation, another 23 properties were sealed in Azam Garden and Mustafa Town. The sealed properties include private schools, banks, colleges, grocery stores, cafés, restaurants, food points, estate offices, bakeries, pharmacies, beauty salons, clinics, auto workshops, shops, offices and other commercial centers.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of Chief Town Planner One Asad uz Zaman and Chief Town Planner Two Azhar Ali.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq said indiscriminate action against illegal commercial buildings and commercial fee defaulters would continue.
