Deputy Commissioner Kasur, Muhammad Asif Raza, along with MPA Haji Muhammad Naeem Safdar Ansari, visited the under construction Munir Shaheed Park to review the progress of ongoing development works.
During the visit, the officials inspected construction activities, development of green areas, walking tracks, and other facilities, focusing on both the pace and quality of work. The project aims to transform the park into a modern and well equipped recreational space for the public.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure timely completion of the project without compromising on quality, so that citizens can benefit from improved recreational facilities.
He highlighted that the development of parks plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of urban life, and the district administration is committed to advancing such initiatives.
This project is part of the Government of Punjab’s broader vision for beautification and the promotion of public amenities, aimed at modernizing public spaces.

Public anger is intensifying in Kanganpur and surrounding areas over severe unannounced load shedding, which has significantly disrupted daily life.
According to reports, residents stated that prolonged and unjustified power outages both day and night have not only halted business activities but also created a serious shortage of water in households. In hot weather , hours long electricity cuts have become routine, while WAPDA officials, including the SDO, have remained largely unresponsive.
Citizens have issued a strong warning to the concerned authorities, urging them to immediately address the issue and provide a proper load shedding schedule. They expressed frustration over the lack of response from officials, which has further increased public distress.
Residents of Kanganpur stated that if unannounced load shedding is not stopped promptly, they will be forced to stage protests, including surrounding the WAPDA office and taking to the streets.
The situation reflects growing public dissatisfaction, with citizens demanding urgent action to restore normalcy.

Following the launch of the free bus service in Tehsil Kasur, residents of other tehsils across the district have also started demanding the extension of this facility. Citizens have appealed to the Chief Minister of Punjab to expand the service throughout the district so that more people can benefit.
Residents stated that the free transport service in Tehsil Kasur has made commuting easier and more affordable, particularly benefiting students, employees, and daily commuters.
People from other tehsils, including Chunian, Pattoki, and Kot Radha Kishan, have urged authorities to introduce similar services in their areas to ensure equal access to public facilities.
Citizens emphasized that in the current economic situation, such welfare initiatives provide much-needed relief and should be extended further. The growing demand highlights the increasing need for accessible and efficient public transport across all tehsils of district Kasur.
