Deputy Commissioner Vehari Khalid Javed Goraya has directed the relevant departments to complete the Rail Bazaar beautification project by June 30 in all circumstances, while ensuring both quality and pace in the development work.
Chairing a meeting regarding the beautification of Rail Bazaar, the deputy commissioner said that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, improving the city’s beauty and civic facilities is the top priority of the district administration. He said the beautification of Rail Bazaar is an important part of this initiative, which will provide citizens with a better and more attractive environment.
Khalid Javed Goraya said the beautification of Rail Bazaar would cost Rs150 million. Under the project, a modern and beautiful fountain will be constructed, colorful tuff tiles will be installed and uniform paintwork will also be carried out across the bazaar.
He said the timely completion of the project would provide citizens with a clean, pleasant and beautiful environment, while also significantly improving the overall appearance of the bazaar.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Finance and DD Development Muhammad Afzal, Chief Officer District Council and Municipal Committee Vehari Sajid Mahmood, and District Officer I&S Faheem Shehzad were also present at the meeting.

The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry has formally launched its new website, through which all essential information related to the chamber will be made available online to members, the business community and general users.
The website was inaugurated by Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh along with Sri Lankan High Commissioner Rear Admiral Retired Fred Seneviratne. On the occasion, the Sri Lankan High Commissioner formally launched the website by pressing a button and appreciated the efforts being made to promote information technology in Pakistan.
Speaking at the ceremony, Faisalabad Chamber President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh said the new website would be connected with a chatbot, enabling users to access essential information related to industry and trade with a single click.
He said the entire system of the Faisalabad Chamber was being gradually digitalized to provide members with modern, fast and effective facilities. Farooq Yousaf Sheikh also appreciated the efforts of the chamber’s IT section in developing the website, saying that digitalization would play an important role in providing convenience, transparency and timely information to the business community.

On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kasur Asif Raza, Assistant Commissioner Chunian Sidra Sattar visited Mela Aman Shah in Chak 18 to review land use, encroachments, and public management arrangements around the festival area.
During the visit, the administration directed the removal of encroachments, temporary structures, and unauthorized occupations established outside the designated land allocated for the mela in order to maintain public access and organized use of space.
The Assistant Commissioner also instructed the organizers to immediately dismantle all mechanical rides prohibited by the Home Department to avoid safety risks and ensure compliance with official regulations.
According to the administration, organized use of public land, removal of encroachments, and maintaining civic discipline during public gatherings are essential to prevent traffic disruption, security concerns, and inconvenience for visitors.
Assistant Commissioner Sidra Sattar stated that while fairs and festivals are an important source of recreation and cultural activity, ensuring legal compliance and proper land management remains a top administrative priority. Authorities warned that action against violations will continue without interruption.
