Under the development program of the Chief Minister Punjab, work on an important project to conserve rainwater is progressing rapidly in Toba Tek Singh district. In this regard, a modern underground water storage tank is being constructed at Bilal Park to ensure effective drainage and storage of rainwater.
According to the district administration, instructions have been issued to complete the project within the stipulated time, while construction work is being regularly monitored. The Deputy Commissioner stated that upon completion, the project will help address the issue of water accumulation in lowlying areas.
Furthermore, recharge wells will contribute to improving the groundwater level. The administration added that the project will provide better drainage facilities to citizens and also contribute to overall environmental improvement.

Residents of Achalke village have expressed serious concerns over the ongoing road dispute and have announced a collective boycott as a form of protest. The decision reflects growing frustration among the public regarding the situation.
According to locals, the entire village is in a state of anger and has come out in strong protest, demanding resolution of the issue. The absence of a proper and usable route has significantly affected daily life and movement.
The affected residents have appealed to the concerned authorities to take immediate notice and resolve the issue on priority, ensuring a safe and accessible route for the community.

Under the supervision of Chairman Union Council Pakhoki, Sardar Suleman Sarwar, the old route leading to the village has been closed and residents have been directed to use an alternative route allotted after government review. However, according to villagers, the alternate route is not usable.
Residents state that the new passage runs through the middle of a pond, making it difficult and unsafe for daily use. Due to the closure of the original route, movement to and from the nearby village of Achal has also been disrupted.
The affected residents have appealed to higher authorities to take immediate notice of the situation and ensure provision of a proper and accessible route.
