Deputy Commissioner Lahore Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Ali Ejaz visited Tehsil Nishter, where he reviewed ongoing development, cleanliness and beautification work around the Hadyara Drain. During the visit, the deputy commissioner also planted a sapling along the drain under the plantation campaign.
The deputy commissioner inspected the desilting of Hadyara Drain, curb stone painting and cleanliness operations, directing the authorities concerned to complete all work within the stipulated timeline. He said a regular plantation campaign should be carried out along the drain to improve the area’s environment and overall appearance.
Captain (Retd.) Muhammad Ali Ejaz made it clear that no delay would be tolerated in municipal services and cleanliness work. He directed the relevant departments to complete all drainage arrangements before the monsoon season so that citizens do not face difficulties during rains.
Later, the deputy commissioner also visited Children’s Hospital Lahore, where he reviewed medical facilities, cleanliness arrangements and administrative affairs in detail.
He instructed the hospital administration to ensure 100 percent uninterrupted supply of medicines to patients and maintain high standards of cleanliness in wards.
The deputy commissioner said providing better municipal services and quality healthcare facilities to citizens is among the top priorities of the Punjab government, adding that all relevant departments must perform their responsibilities effectively.

Administrative action has been taken against a commercial entertainment facility in the city after concerns related to operational compliance and public environment were reported. The move was initiated following repeated observations regarding management standards and adherence to official regulations.
According to sources, the decision was made in view of maintaining order, ensuring public safety, and enforcing building and business regulations within urban limits. Authorities emphasized the importance of proper management and responsible operation of commercial properties catering to the public.
Officials stated that all commercial and entertainment establishments are expected to follow approved guidelines and maintain an environment suitable for visitors and surrounding businesses.
Residents have termed the move an important step toward improving regulation of commercial spaces and ensuring safer public environments in busy urban areas.

Emergency measures were launched in Gadh Pur, a suburban village of Chunian, after a canal embankment collapsed during heavy rainfall overnight, leading to water accumulation and disruption in local movement.
Following the incident, canal water flow was immediately stopped while relevant departments were directed to take urgent action to control the situation and minimize further damage.
Authorities instructed the irrigation department to begin immediate repair of the damaged canal section and ensure water drainage from affected areas including graveyards, roads, and surrounding locations to restore normal conditions.
Officials stated that continuous monitoring is underway in the affected area and that public safety and restoration of infrastructure remain top priorities during the ongoing rainy season.
