CDA raises Rs 13.52bn on opening day of Islamabad plot auction

The Capital Development Authority has generated Rs 13.52 billion on the opening day of its three day auction of commercial plots, underscoring strong interest from investors and developers in prime locations across the federal capital.

Officials said several high value commercial plots in key sectors of Islamabad were sold during the first session. The auction attracted a large number of bidders, with competitive offers recorded for premium sites, pointing to a revival of confidence in the city’s property market.

CDA officials said the auction is part of a wider effort to mobilise funds for development and infrastructure improvement in Islamabad. The response on the first day exceeded expectations, with demand remaining particularly strong for well located commercial plots.

The auction will continue over the next two days, during which additional commercial and mixed use plots are expected to be offered. Authorities anticipate further revenue generation as investor interest remains robust.

According to the CDA, proceeds from the auction will be directed towards ongoing and future development initiatives in the capital, including road networks, public facilities, and essential urban services.

کیپیٹل ڈویلپمنٹ اتھارٹی یعنی سی ڈی اے نے کمرشل پلاٹوں کی تین روزہ نیلامی کے پہلے روز 13.52 ارب روپے کی آمدن حاصل کی ہے جو وفاقی دارالحکومت کے اہم علاقوں میں سرمایہ کاروں اور ڈویلپرز کی گہری دلچسپی کو ظاہر کرتی ہے۔

حکام کے مطابق اسلام آباد کے مختلف اہم سیکٹرز میں واقع کئی قیمتی کمرشل پلاٹ ابتدائی سیشن میں فروخت ہوئے۔ نیلامی میں بولی دہندگان کی بڑی تعداد نے شرکت کی جبکہ نمایاں مقامات کے لیے سخت مقابلہ دیکھنے میں آیا جس سے شہر کی رئیل اسٹیٹ مارکیٹ پر اعتماد کی بحالی کے آثار نمایاں ہوئے۔

سی ڈی اے حکام کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ نیلامی اسلام آباد میں ترقیاتی منصوبوں اور انفراسٹرکچر کی بہتری کے لیے وسائل جمع کرنے کی وسیع حکمت عملی کا حصہ ہے۔ پہلے روز کا ردعمل توقعات سے کہیں بہتر رہا اور خاص طور پر موزوں مقامات پر واقع کمرشل پلاٹوں کی طلب مضبوط رہی۔

نیلامی آئندہ دو روز تک جاری رہے گی جس کے دوران مزید کمرشل اور مکسڈ یوز پلاٹ پیش کیے جائیں گے۔ حکام کو توقع ہے کہ سرمایہ کاروں کی دلچسپی برقرار رہنے کے باعث مزید آمدن حاصل ہوگی۔

سی ڈی اے کے مطابق نیلامی سے حاصل ہونے والی رقم اسلام آباد میں جاری اور آئندہ ترقیاتی منصوبوں پر خرچ کی جائے گی جن میں سڑکوں کے نیٹ ورک، عوامی سہولیات اور شہری خدمات کی بہتری شامل ہے
