Larkana District, located in northwestern Sindh, Pakistan, serves as the headquarters of Larkana Division and lies near the fertile plains of the Indus River. Larkana city is the administrative and commercial center of the district. It has four talukas: Larkana, Ratodero, Dokri, and Bakrani. The district is historically significant for the ancient Indus Valley site of Mohenjo-daro and politically known as the home region of the Bhutto family.
