The Kasur district administration has successfully installed thirteen (13) new fire hydrants at major commercial areas and sensitive locations, now fully operational to enhance public safety and ensure rapid response during emergencies.
According to official sources, the hydrants have been strategically placed near high-traffic routes, markets, and government buildings to provide immediate access to water in case of fire, minimizing potential damage.
District officials said that the installation of these hydrants will significantly reduce fire brigade response times and establish an effective safety network across the city, particularly in areas prone to fire hazards.
Local residents and community representatives have welcomed the move, stating that it will improve public safety while also safeguarding commercial activities.
The district administration confirmed that further measures will be taken to maintain and expand the fire safety and emergency response infrastructure, ensuring preparedness against potential risks.

In line with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the district administration of Kasur has strengthened measures to ensure the availability of fruits and vegetables at officially notified prices while also intensifying action against market encroachments.
Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Asif Raza, Assistant Commissioners across all four tehsils are present daily in wholesale markets during the auction process to monitor pricing, ensure compliance with official rate lists, and prevent overcharging.
In addition to price regulation, the administration has placed special focus on monitoring and removing encroachments in and around markets. Officials stated that eliminating illegal stalls and obstructions is essential to maintain orderly market functioning, facilitate smooth traffic flow, and improve public access to essential commodities.
The district administration emphasized that strict price oversight combined with consistent anti-encroachment measures will help promote market transparency, protect consumer interests, and ensure a disciplined commercial environment across Kasur.

Following the recommendation of Deputy Commissioner Tanveer Khattak, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tribal Affairs Department has issued a notification imposing a curfew in Sub-Division Jandola of Tank District until 7 PM.
According to the notification, from 6 AM to 7 PM, all routes from Kot Fort to Jandola and Upper Waziristan will remain closed, and all movement will be suspended. During this period, all markets, shops, and business centers will also remain shut.
The Deputy Commissioner has advised residents to remain indoors and strictly follow government instructions during the curfew to ensure public safety.
