Development and restoration work is underway at Muhammad Khan Ground, located in the center of Chunian. The ground holds significant importance as a key public space frequently visited by residents, especially children and youth.
For some time, the ground had been in a deteriorated condition. The walking track was damaged, and children’s swings had become rusted and unsafe for use.
Deputy Commissioner Chunian Sidra Sattar has emphasized the urgent rehabilitation of the ground and directed concerned authorities to upgrade the facility so that citizens can benefit from safe and improved recreational amenities.
Residents have welcomed the initiative and expressed hope that the restoration will promote healthy activities and provide a better environment for the community.

Under the supervision of Chairman Union Council Pakhoki, Sardar Suleman Sarwar, the old route leading to the village has been closed and residents have been directed to use an alternative route allotted after government review. However, according to villagers, the alternate route is not usable.
Residents state that the new passage runs through the middle of a pond, making it difficult and unsafe for daily use. Due to the closure of the original route, movement to and from the nearby village of Achal has also been disrupted.
The affected residents have appealed to higher authorities to take immediate notice of the situation and ensure provision of a proper and accessible route.

The anti encroachment operation in Chunian has intensified, with para force teams carrying out actions in different neighborhoods. During the operation, sheds attached to houses and other structures are being demolished, raising concerns among residents.
