The Defence Housing Authority (DHA) Lahore has announced that possession of plots in five sectors of its Phase Prism 9 will be handed over starting April 6. The sectors include J, L, M, N, and P. Additionally, possession has also been announced for Sector A and Commercial Zone 4.
Investors and buyers had been anxiously waiting for this development for several months, and DHA Lahore has now officially made the announcement. The move has been widely welcomed by the real estate community associated with DHA.
Speaking to ReNews, Mian Qasim, CEO of Aims Real Estate, termed the announcement a positive development, stating that property prices in these sectors are likely to increase as a result.
He added that the possession process had been pending for nearly a year, and it was crucial to announce it before the launch of DHA Phase 10. He further noted that the current environment in DHA is favorable for investment and encouraged investors to take advantage of the opportunity.
Mian Abdul Razzaq, Chief Executive of Usman Property and Builders, also welcomed the decision, stating that once possession is granted, construction of houses and commercial buildings will begin. He added that these construction activities will generate new business and employment opportunities.

Provincial Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafique has said that, under the personal interest of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, master planning for 37 districts and 128 tehsils of Punjab has been completed.
He further stated that the Artificial Intelligence (AI) system of the Punjab Spatial Planning Authority (PSPA) is currently undergoing training.
Special Secretary Development Aasia Gul and Additional Secretary Qurrat-ul-Ain also attended the meeting, while Director General PSPA Abdullah Nayyar briefed the participants.

The Competition Commission has taken action against two frozen dessert manufacturers in a misleading “ice cream” case, imposing a fine of Rs35 million for deceiving consumers.
In its ruling, the commission, citing the Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority and the Punjab Food Regulations 2018, clarified that “ice cream” and “frozen dessert” are two distinct products. Ice cream is made from milk, cream, or other dairy ingredients, whereas frozen desserts may contain vegetable oil. Therefore, presenting frozen desserts as ice cream is considered misleading.
The Competition Commission of Pakistan (CCP) had directed the companies to stop marketing frozen desserts as ice cream, withdraw all misleading advertisements, and provide clear and accurate information about their products.
