About Faisalabad District

Faisalabad District, located in central Punjab, Pakistan, is one of the country’s major industrial and economic hubs. Faisalabad city serves as the district headquarters and is widely known as the “Manchester of Pakistan” due to its extensive textile industry. The district comprises six tehsils: Faisalabad City, Faisalabad Sadar, Chak Jhumra, Jaranwala, Samundri, and Tandlianwala. Alongside its strong industrial base, the region is also agriculturally significant, producing wheat, sugarcane, cotton, and rice through a well-developed canal irrigation system. Faisalabad plays a vital role in Pakistan’s exports and economic growth while continuing to expand in infrastructure, education, and urban development.
