DG Khan: Husnain Aulakh, Special Correspondent | ReNews Pakistan
On the directions of the Chief Minister of Punjab, Secretary Housing Noor-ul-Amin Mengal visited Dera Ghazi Khan to conduct a comprehensive review of development projects underway under the Chief Minister Punjab Development Program. During the visit, the Secretary interacted with site officers and field staff regarding the ongoing works.
In-charge of the Site Safety and Monitoring Team, Major Muzaffar, briefed him on the implementation of safety protocols. Deputy Commissioner DG Khan, Usman Khalid, accompanied the Secretary, while Managing Director WASA, Jawad Kaleem, provided a detailed briefing on the progress of various schemes. The Secretary received an update on the ongoing revamping of the 208-kilometre sewerage network and construction of six disposal stations in DG Khan. The briefing also noted that 48 kilometres of roads are set to be restored under the development plan.
Addressing officials on-site, Noor-ul-Amin Mengal stated that no compromise would be tolerated on quality or pace of work, directing that all projects be completed before the onset of the monsoon season. He emphasized that special attention must be given to the convenience and safety of citizens and commuters, and instructed authorities to further accelerate work during night hours. The Secretary also directed that signboards be installed at clearly visible locations for public awareness. He reiterated that he would personally review development works in other districts as well to ensure strict monitoring and timely completion.

دورے کے دوران سیکرٹری ہاؤسنگ نور الامین مینگل نے سائٹ افسران و عملہ سے جاری ترقیاتی کاموں بارے استفسار کیا، سائٹ سیفٹی اینڈ مانیٹرنگ ٹیم کے انچارج میجر مظفر نے سیفٹی پرٹوکولز بارے آگاہ کیا۔ ڈپٹی کمشنر ڈی جی خان عثمان خالد بھی ہمراہ تھے جبکہ ایم ڈی واسا جواد کلیم نے جاری ترقیاتی کاموں پر بریفنگ دی۔ بریفنگ میں ڈی جی خان میں 208 کلومیٹر سوریج کی تشکیل نو پر جاری کام، 6 ڈسپوزل اسٹیشنز کی تعمیر بارے آگاہ کیا گیا، بریفنگ میں بتایا گیا کہ 48 کلومیٹر سڑکوں کی بحالی کا کام بھی مکمل کیا جائےگا۔
سیکرٹری ہاؤسنگ نے گفتگو کرتے ہوئے کہا معیار اور رفتار پر کسی قسم کا سمجھوتہ برداشت نہیں، مون سون سے قبل تمام کام مکمل کیا جائے۔ نورالامین مینگل نے ہدایات جاری کیں کہ شہریوں و راہگیروں کی سہولت و حفاظت کا خاص خیال رکھا جائے، جبکہ رات کے وقت کام کی رفتار کو مزید بڑھایا جائے۔ سیکرٹری ہاؤسنگ نے باور کروایا کہ سائن بورڈز واضح جگہوں پر نصب کیے جائیں، دیگر اضلاع میں بھی ترقیاتی کاموں کا جائزہ خود لوں گا۔
